Dear Parents and Carers, I hope this might be helpful information for thinking about Covid19 symptoms and testing. Some of you will know that I went for a Covid 19 test yesterday. I had a sore throat and cold on Monday and then developed a new, persistent cough. Soon after I developed a high temperature which incidentally I still have. I followed the guidance and my partner,  myself and my son went into isolation.  It took 24 hours of regular attempts to book a test and I managed to get one at West Bay at 2pm yesterday. The test was easy to administer and took about 5 minutes. The results came back today at 4am, negative.  Whilst we know that there are colds flying around, if there are any ONE of the symptoms present, you do not know and we do not know, if it is Covid 19 or not and I'm sure we would all rather err on the side of caution. After all I have a temperature which doesn't usually come with a cold.   At some point it may not be 'just a cold' and so please if you or your child has any ONE of the four symptoms follow the flow chart you have received  from Public Health and book a test. This is the way we can help to stop the spread and protect each other.  School staff are not medical practitioners and can only go on the instructions given by Public Health and the Government.  Please do not be offended if you are contacted by the school to collect your child if they show any of the four symptoms. We expect all of our parents to work with us on this for the safety of everyone.  We understand the whole situation is hugely frustrating for all of us but this is the situation we are all faced with.  Thank you for your support. Best wishes Miss Grunnill
